Description
Turbo kit from a 1998 Honda Prelude. This does not appear to be a name brand kit but rather a kit that was designed and fabricated by a performance shop and is of reasonable quality. This includes the manifold, downpipe, intercooler and intercooler piping. These are the basic hard parts needed to start the kit. Additional components will be required for complete installation (i.e. turbocharger, wastegate, blow off valve, couplers and clamps, etc.). The exhaust manifold was used with a T4 turbine housing and a 39mm 2-bolt wastegate. It is a “mini-ram” style. It does have some blemishes and corrosion, but does not appear to have any cracks, leaks or major damage. The downpipe has a 3″ V-band inlet, 3″ 3-bolt outlet and one O2 sensor bung. It is dented and scraped in several places, but does not appear to have any leaks or cracks. The intercooler is approximately 24″x12″x3″ with a 3″ inlet/outlet. The intercooler has some normal bent fins and a moderate dent at the bottom, but no cracks or leaks. Mounting brackets are included to bolt this to the upper radiator support. The intercooler piping is bead rolled and 3″ in diameter with the exception of the compressor outlet pipe which is 2.5″. A 90 degree 2.5″ to 3″ silicone coupler is included to transition the compressor outlet pipe to the intercooler. The piping has a TiAL 50mm blow off valve flange welded close to the throttle body.
