Description
Bare engine block from a 1998 BMW M3. This block is in good used condition with no visible cracks or any other serious damage. The cylinders are standard bore, and still show good crosshatching throughout all cylinders. There are no deep gouges or marring anywhere in the cylinder walls, but there is are some light rust discoloration in a few spots in a few of the cylinders. The cylinders will likely need honed or a small boring, but having it checked by a machine shop for their opinion is recommended. All of the gasket mounting surfaces are in good shape with no major damage. The main journals are in good condition with no spun bearings when disassembled, and show no signs of excessive heat on any journal. Assembly comes as shown, and includes all seven main bearing caps and bolts. This block should be checked by a professional machinist prior to installation as it may need bored, honed, or other repair.
