Description
Bare engine block assembly from a 2008 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG with the 6.2L V8 engine. This is from an engine that spun 2 rod bearings. The exterior aluminum surfaces have minor corrosion, but no visible cracks or other structural damage. The head gasket surfaces have remaining gasket material that will need to be removed, but no gouges or damage that should affect function. The bores measure out to standard bore (4.020″). There are some moderate vertical grooves in one cylinder that you can feel with a fingernail. This cylinder has been detailed in the photos. The other 7 bores have minor scratches, scuffing, and wear throughout. When disassembled, there were no spun or overheated main bearings, and all main journals look good with no damage. The main bearing girdle is included. All mounting and threaded holes appear undamaged. It is recommended to have this checked by a professional machinist prior to use, as it may need boring, honing, resurfacing, recoating, or other repair. The images are of the actual item you will receive.
